Two Killed in School Bus Collision in Jhapa

In Mechinagar Municipality-7, Jhapa, a collision between a bus and a motorcycle has resulted in the deaths of two individuals. Ajay Rajbanshi and Ajay Majhi, who were critically injured in the accident, were declared dead by doctors immediately after being admitted to the hospital. The police have taken the school bus and its driver, Niren Dhimal, into custody and have launched an investigation. May 20, Biratnagar.

The accident occurred in front of Sanjay Cement Factory, Mechinagar-7, when a Holibel English Boarding School bus bearing registration number Me 1 Ka 391, traveling from Gomanasari towards Dhulabari, collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction with registration number Me 9 Pa 9904. According to police reports, the motorcycle driver, 21-year-old Ajay Rajbanshi from Mechinagar-7, and the passenger, 32-year-old Ajay Majhi from Galgalia, India, were severely injured. Both were taken to Mechi Provincial Hospital in Bhadrapur but were pronounced dead upon arrival. Following the incident, the police have detained the bus and its 45-year-old driver, Niren Dhimal, from Mechinagar-11.
