Students Continue Protests Demanding Prime Minister Retract Statements on Border Issues

Students from Tribhuvan Chandra Campus staged a protest at Kathmandu’s Ghantaghar, opposing the Prime Minister’s statements on border issues which they deemed contrary to national interest. Participants in the demonstration warned that the movement would persist unless the Prime Minister issues a formal apology in parliament. Kathmandu, 22 Jestha — Students rallied in Kathmandu demanding the Prime Minister withdraw his remarks on the border issue. On Friday, Tribhuvan Chandra Campus students gathered at Ghantaghar, carrying placards with messages affirming national sovereignty and unity, such as “Our country’s borders and dignity are our life, land, and pride.” Manoj Bhandari, a student from Tribhuvan Chandra, stated that their protest was a response to statements by the Prime Minister in parliament that they considered detrimental to the nation’s honor. He emphasized that the protest will not cease until the Prime Minister apologizes in parliament.
