Sixth Himalayan Travel Mart Concludes with Participation of 600 Delegates from 27 Countries

The sixth edition of the Himalayan Travel Mart was successfully held in Kathmandu, featuring over 600 delegates from 27 countries. Organized by the PATA Nepal Chapter, the event positioned Nepal as the gateway to the Himalayas and a key hub for tourism collaboration. Khem Lakai, President of PATA Nepal, emphasized the market’s vital role in promoting tourism development and expanding access to international markets.
HTM 2026 took place in Kathmandu from June 5 to June 7, drawing representatives from 75 international buyer companies, more than 80 sellers and exhibitors, along with over 100 international participants involved in tourism affairs from Nepal and various other countries. The PATA Nepal Chapter expressed that the program was successfully conducted in partnership with the Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal Airlines, and several other partner organizations.
The event incorporated business-to-business (B2B) meetings, thought leadership sessions, destination experience programs, networking events, and cultural performances. These activities highlighted innovation, sustainability, resilience, and collaboration as foundational pillars for the development of tourism in Nepal and globally. During the closing ceremony, Chief Executive Officer Hikmat Singh Ayer of the Nepal Tourism Board extended gratitude to the international delegates and partners supporting Nepal’s promotion as a world-class tourism destination.
