
23 Jestha, Kathmandu – Education and environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk arrived at the protest site in New Delhi carrying roses. He participated in the demonstration organized by the Kakaroch Jana Party at Jantar Mantar on Saturday afternoon.
The protest is against irregularities in the examination system and question paper leaks. Earlier, Abhijit Dipke, founder of the Kakaroch Jana Party, also visited the protest, bringing a biography of Indian constitution maker B.R. Ambedkar.
Abhijit urged other protesters to bring books and the national flag, and encouraged the police to accept flowers as a symbol of peace. In keeping with this appeal, Sonam Wangchuk joined the youth and student protesters holding roses, showing solidarity. His presence boosted the morale of the demonstrators.
