27th Men’s and 26th Women’s National Shooting Competitions Kick Off

The 27th Men’s and 26th Women’s National Shooting Competitions have commenced at Satdobato under the organization of the Nepal Shooting Association. The event will run for three days, concluding on Monday. A total of 62 athletes are competing for six gold medals across the 10-meter air rifle and pistol categories.

Kathmandu, 23 Jestha – The Nepal Shooting Association launched the 27th Men’s and 26th Women’s National Shooting Competitions on Saturday at the shooting range located in Satdobato. Competitors are vying for six gold medals distributed among individual men’s and women’s 10-meter air rifle and pistol events, as well as mixed team categories, informed Pradeep Khati, General Secretary of the organizing association.

Thirty-four male and twenty-eight female shooters are participating in the competition. The event was officially inaugurated by Ramcharitra Mehta, Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council, during a formal program. At the ceremony, sports equipment received through the ISSF and ASC development funds was also handed over. The three-day competition will conclude on Monday.
