Harkraj Rai Condemns PM’s Statement on Nepal-India Border, Calls It Like Handing Over Nepalese Land to India

May 6 (Jestha 23), Panchthar – Harkraj Rai (Sampang), chairman of the Labor Culture Party, has strongly criticized Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s statement suggesting that Nepal has encroached on India’s territory, saying it is tantamount to handing over Nepalese land to India. Speaking at a party induction program held in Jevale, Panchthar, on Saturday, Rai targeted the Prime Minister’s remarks and expressed his disapproval. “A person holding that office should not make such statements. The Labor Culture Party has always stood firmly for the country’s sovereignty and border protection,” Sampang stated.

Sampang also fiercely criticized Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s leadership, saying, “A person who can only destroy and not build has bulldozed and burned the homes of the poor. Such a person cannot be praised.” He further urged other parties, including Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and others, to clarify why they have not nominated proportional representatives from the Rai-Limbu community. “Should we ask or refrain from asking the parties that only come ringing bells why they have excluded the Rai-Limbu community from proportional representation?” he questioned.

Sampang asserted that he strives to include all communities and claimed that traditional parties have spent 30 to 35 years merely talking without building the nation. According to him, the country’s disregard for labor has resulted in the current situation. He called for entrusting the nation’s development responsibility to the Labor Culture Party. “There are no leaders or workers in this party; all are laborers. I am walking around wearing this T-shirt,” said Sampang. He also revealed his plan to one day enter parliament wearing the same T-shirt.
