Himarashmi and Angels Heart National Secure Victories in Angels Heart National Volleyball Tournament

In the second National Open Angels Heart Inter-School Men’s Volleyball Tournament, Himarashmi and Angels Heart National School emerged victorious on Sunday. The competition, held under a league-cum-knockout system, features participation from 19 teams. Only students who have passed the Secondary Education Examination and are under 18 years old are eligible to compete.
May 7, Kathmandu – Himarashmi and Angels Heart National School achieved significant wins in the second National Open Angels Heart Inter-School/College Men’s Volleyball Tournament on Sunday. The matches took place at the Angels Sports Academy and Recreation Center located in Manmaiju. Himarashmi defeated Newton ‘B’ with set scores of 25–15 and 25–11, while Angels Heart National overcame Nepal National High School with scores of 11–25, 25–16, and 15–12.
In other matches, Saint Lawrence defeated Patan High School 25–12 and 25–16, and Newton ‘A’ beat Geetanjali 25–17 and 25–18. Greenfield toppled Saint Lawrence 25–20 and 25–21, and Chanakya beat Newton ‘B’ 25–23 and 25–17. Chanakya also defeated Nepal National High School in a three-set match with scores of 25–23, 18–25, and 15–8. Laligurans defeated Kalyan High School 25–13 and 25–18, and Himarashmi secured a win over Angels Heart National with 25–16 and 25–21 set scores.
The tournament follows a league-cum-knockout format, with 19 teams competing. The top three teams will receive cash prizes of NPR 50,000, 30,000, and 15,000 respectively. Additionally, awards with cash prizes will be given to the best players in categories such as best spiker, lifter, server, blocker, and defender. Only students who passed the SEE in 2082 BS and are registered under grades 11 and 12 with the National Examination Board for 2082/083 BS, and are under 18 years of age, are eligible to participate in the tournament.
