RASWPA Selects New Leadership Unanimously in Dhankuta, Bhuvan Thapa Appointed Chairperson

May 8, Dhankuta – The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) in Dhankuta has unanimously elected a new district committee under the leadership of Bhuvan Thapa during its first district convention. The convention, held on Sunday at the Corner Zone Hotel auditorium in Dhankuta Municipality-5, appointed Thapa as chairperson. Narad Katuwal was selected as vice-chairperson, Ashish Tamang as secretary, and Siraj Joshi as assistant secretary. Members of the committee include Phadindra Thapa, Prem Bahadur Karki, Bimala Gahtara, Manoj Khadka, and Punam Giri Rana.

The convention emphasized that the new leadership aims to strengthen and energize the party’s organization across the district. Newly elected chairperson Thapa committed to expanding the party’s organizational reach, raising public concern issues, and playing an active role in promoting good governance and development.

For the chairperson post, former assistant secretary Bhuvan Thapa, former vice-chairperson Prajna Rai, along with previous election candidates Dinesh Bhandari, Shambhu Pandey, and Mani Bhujel all expressed their aspirations. However, according to outgoing chairperson Balananda Dahal, consensus was reached among them to elect the leadership unanimously.
