Sita Parajuli Elected Chairperson of Rastriya Swatantra Party Arghakhanchi District Committee

25 Jestha, Arghakhanchi – Sita Parajuli has been elected as the district chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) in Arghakhanchi. The district convention held in Sandhikharka elected a new working committee under the leadership of Sita Parajuli. She won by a margin of 13 votes over her closest competitor Dinesh Sunar. Parajuli secured 91 votes, while Sunar received 78 votes. Another chairperson candidate, Mahendra Kunwar, obtained 33 votes.

Sita Parajuli joined Raswapa after leaving the Nepali Congress following its 14th general convention. She was politically active during her student life through the Nepal Student Union and was involved in Congress politics via the Women’s Association. Upon joining Raswapa, she served as a member of the central women’s wing.

Alongside Parajuli, Saphaali Bishwokarma was elected as vice-chair, Chiran Panthi as secretary, and Laxman Bhattarai as assistant secretary. Members elected include Baburam Khadka, Bedraj Ghimire, Churamani Dhungana, Pitambar Sejwal, Rama Khanal, and Sita Sunar, as reported by vice-chair Saphaali Bishwokarma.
