May 25, Kathmandu – Both nations are gearing up for the World Cup, which will start on June 11 and will be jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Real Madrid forward Brahim Diaz put Morocco ahead in the 8th minute, but Norway’s captain Martin Odegaard leveled the score in the 75th minute, bringing the game to a 1-1 finish.
The injuries to two Moroccan players have raised concerns for the team, as Manchester United’s Noussair Mazraoui and Real Betis winger Abde Ezzalzouli were forced off the pitch due to these setbacks. Returning to the World Cup after 28 years, Norway enters the tournament as a potential ‘dark horse’ in their group, while Morocco remains a consistent participant. Morocco had an impressive run reaching the semifinals in the 2022 World Cup and aims to replicate that success this time around. Morocco is placed in Group C and will face Brazil in their opening match on June 14. Norway, grouped in Group I, will kick off their campaign against Iraq on June 17.
