May 8, Jaleshwar (Mahottari) – The body of a child who had been missing since Friday from Pokharbhinda village, Ward 5, Samsi Rural Municipality, was found dead today in a pond nearby.
According to District Police Office spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Panchlal Gole, the body of three-year-old Manikesh Yadav, son of local resident Rohit Yadav, who went missing around 5 PM on Friday while playing near his home, was recovered from the pond.
Considering that the body was found floating inside a sack in the pond, the police team recovered the deceased child’s body and are carrying out an intensive investigation on suspicion of foul play, DSOP Gole stated.
Meanwhile, Gautam Yadav, 12, son of Ashutosh Yadav from Jaleshwar Municipality-12, has been missing since May 21, and Abhay Mandal, 15, son of Budhwa Mandal from Ward No. 6, has been missing since May 28. The search for both children is ongoing.
