Third Edition of Everest Women’s Volleyball League Set to Take Place in Kathmandu This October

The third edition of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from October 8 to 17. Organizer Infinity Dreams Pvt. Ltd. announced that the competition will take place at the National Sports Council’s covered hall located in Tripureshwor. Technical Director Jagadish Bhatt expressed confidence that this league will make a significant contribution to the development of women’s volleyball in Nepal.

The Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL), Nepal’s first women’s franchise volleyball competition, is preparing to host its third edition in Kathmandu from October 8 to 17. Infinity Dreams Pvt. Ltd. provided details in a press release on Monday that the event will be held at the National Sports Council’s covered hall in Tripureshwor.

Following discussions with franchise teams and stakeholders, the organizers decided to conduct the tournament before the Dashain festival. The covered hall, which has recently been upgraded and has successfully hosted both international and national level competitions, was selected as the venue for this edition, according to the statement.

The organizers believe that EWVL will play a crucial role in advancing women’s volleyball in Nepal. The first edition was held in Kathmandu, while the second took place in Pokhara. The defending champion team, Karnali Yashbis, secured the title in both previous editions. Technical Director Jagadish Bhatt claimed that the third edition will be even grander and more competitive than its predecessors.
