
May 8, Kathmandu – Thirteen people were injured in an e-van accident in Kanchanpur on Monday afternoon. According to police officials, the accident occurred around 3 p.m. on the Mahendra Highway at Daiji, Ward No. 3, Vedkot Municipality. The District Police Office of Kanchanpur reported that the e-van, registration number सु.प.प्र.०२–००१ ज ४९६, traveling from Dhangadhi to Mahendranagar, lost control and overturned into a ditch.
Police stated that there were 17 passengers on board, including the driver. The injured were immediately taken to Mahakali Provincial Hospital in Mahendranagar for treatment, and the driver has been taken into police custody. Among the injured are Pushkarraj Giri, 43, from Ward No. 9, Pipariya, Krishnapur Municipality; 20-year-old Jeevan Singh Kadal from Ward No. 10, Nayagaun, Vedkot; 45-year-old Radhadevi Shah from Ward No. 9, Khairifata, Tikapur Municipality, Kailali; 25-year-old Samjhana Singh from Ward No. 5, Hasanpur, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City; 61-year-old Saraswatis Devi Kunwar from Ward No. 4, North Behdhi, Dhangadhi; 55-year-old Vishnu Singh from Ward No. 6, Hasanpur, Dhangadhi; 17-year-old Ashika Kunwar and 16-year-old Pushpa Bohara; 60-year-old Gajendrasingh Kunwar and 32-year-old Sumitra Kunwar from Ward No. 1, Phapari, Mahakali Municipality, Darchula; 55-year-old Ishwaridevi Bhul and her 22-year-old son Sunil Bhul from Ward No. 2, Navdurga Rural Municipality, Dadeldhura; and 28-year-old Pushparaj Pant from Ward No. 6, Kanakot, Ajaymeru Rural Municipality, Dadeldhura.
