Trump Warns Israel May Become Isolated Amid Rising Iran Tensions

File photo May 26, Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that if tensions with Iran continue to escalate, Israel could find itself isolated. He issued this warning during an interview with Israel’s ‘Channel 12’.

According to an Israeli news agency, Netanyahu had not fully informed Trump about the attack on Iran until the last moment on Sunday. On that same day, Trump advised Netanyahu against launching a counterattack on Iran. This disagreement emerged against the backdrop of Israel’s assault on Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, followed by Iran initiating attacks on Israel.

According to the report by ‘Channel 12’, the discussions between the two leaders failed to reach any agreement, and Netanyahu did not disclose his final decision to Trump. Later, Netanyahu told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that he had already decided to strike Iran. Trump claimed that he succeeded in preventing the attack from escalating to a ‘fifth phase’.
