Nepal Includes Six New Players in National Team for CAVB Men’s Volleyball Championship

The Nepal Volleyball Association has announced a 12-member national team for the CAVB Men’s Volleyball Championship scheduled to take place in Pakistan. The tournament is set to be held from Ashadh 17 to 23 (June 30 to July 7) in Islamabad, Pakistan, with six new players included in the squad. The newcomers—Santosh Bik, Saroj Bardewa, Rajendra Dhami, Suraj Chunara, Himal Sunari, and Dipesh Kunwar—have been selected as fresh faces in the national team.
The Nepal Volleyball Association officially announced the 12-member team on Jestha 26 (June 9) in Kathmandu for the CAVB Men’s Volleyball Championship 2026. The competition, organized by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, will run from Ashadh 17 to 23 (July 1–7) in Islamabad, featuring six new players in the lineup.
For the first time, Santosh Bik, Saroj Bardewa, Rajendra Dhami, Suraj Chunara, Himal Sunari, and Dipesh Kunwar have been included in the national team. The remaining six players were part of the squad that competed in last year’s CAVB Men’s Nations Cup held in Bangladesh. The finalized team includes Sunil Bohara, Pahal Gahtaraj, Santosh Bik, Saroj Bardewa, Rajendra Dhami, Suraj Chunara, Nripdhwaj Basnet, Rabin Nagarkoti, Himal Sunari, Harihajur Thapa, Dipesh Kunwar, and Binod Chand.
