Murder Confirmed in Case of Young Man Found Dead in Dhangadhi; Two Arrested

May 9, Dhangadhi – Police have confirmed that the young man found dead in Dhangadhi, Kailali, was murdered. The body of 20-year-old Rajkumar Rana, discovered abandoned on the banks of the Mohana River in Trivenighat, Ward No. 9 of the sub-metropolitan city, has been confirmed as a homicide. According to the District Police Office spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yogendra Timilsina, preliminary investigations indicate that Rana of Gaderiya, Ward No. 9, Kailari Rural Municipality, was indeed a victim of murder.
According to police, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing: 60-year-old Bammana Rana and 58-year-old Bhangu Rana from Ward No. 8 of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City. Police reports mention that along with two others, the four individuals assaulted Rana, leading to his death, after which they discarded his body on the banks of the Mohana River. A case has been filed on charges of homicide, and the investigation is ongoing with an extension of the inquiry period. Police are currently searching for the remaining two suspects involved in the crime.
