Kaviraj Khadgi Becomes First Nepali International Poomsae Taekwondo Coach Certified by World Taekwondo

Kaviraj Khadgi, the national poomsae taekwondo coach, has become the first Nepali coach to receive the World Taekwondo International Poomsae Coaching Certification. Khadgi earned this certification after successfully completing and passing the World Taekwondo Federation’s online course. The certificate was formally presented to Coach Khadgi by Dipraj Gurung, President of the Nepal Taekwondo Association, on 26th Jestha in Kathmandu.

Khadgi is also a coach in the special training program under Mission 2026, operated by the National Sports Council and National Team Preparation. Following the World Taekwondo (WT) program, he studied the WT Poomsae Coach Certification course held online from May 15 to 21, 2026, and successfully passed the examination. The international certification course represents a high level of technical knowledge and training expertise in the poomsae taekwondo discipline.

This significant achievement was formally acknowledged at the Nepal Taekwondo Association office, where Association President Dipraj Gurung presented the certificate. President Gurung congratulated Coach Khadgi on this accomplishment and extended best wishes for the preparation of the national poomsae taekwondo team. Khadgi also took part as a poomsae coach in the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China. The Nepal Taekwondo Association has announced that preparations are underway for the poomsae team for the 20th Asian Games currently taking place in Aichi Nagoya, Japan.
