At the 17th minute, Breel Embolo converted a penalty into a goal, giving Switzerland the lead. The penalty was awarded after Qatar’s goalkeeper Mahmoud Abunada fouled a Swiss player inside the penalty area, resulting in the penalty which Embolo successfully converted.
