Niraj Acharya Assumes Role as Head of UML Central Propaganda Department

Niraj Acharya, newly appointed head of the Central Propaganda and Publication Department of the CPN-UML, officially took office on Monday at the party headquarters located in Chyasal. He expressed a commitment to elevate the party’s propaganda efforts beyond traditional boundaries by focusing on digital communication.

After assuming his role, Acharya outlined plans to modernize and enhance the effectiveness of the party’s outreach in this era of information and technology. He pledged to deliver the party’s ideology to every citizen through digital platforms, marking a shift from conventional methods to a digitally centered communication strategy.

“Our ideology will be communicated via digital media, reaching every citizen’s mobile screen and mind,” said Acharya, the head of the Propaganda and Publication Department. “We will not only follow technology but will strive to lead in the use of technology within the department.” He also emphasized responding to misinformation and propaganda against the party, its leadership, and ideology with truth and factual evidence.

“We do not engage in propaganda or misinformation ourselves, but we will dismantle every falsehood spread by opponents with the power of truth. No propaganda is stronger than truth,” he added. Acharya stressed that he has come not as a ‘commander’ of the department but as a ‘companion’ to all, prioritizing collective leadership, teamwork, and modern working methods.

Expressing gratitude for the trust and responsibility placed in him by the party leadership, Acharya also thanked the outgoing leadership and team for their contributions to the department’s current state. He committed to building on past achievements, infusing new energy and technology to make the department even more effective moving forward.
