The CPN led by Netra Bikram Chand has relieved Secretariat member Uma Bhujel of all party responsibilities. She has been disciplined on charges of engaging in factionalism and provocative activities against party policy. Uma Bhujel is one of the women involved in freeing prisoners during the armed conflict by breaking out of Gorkha Jail. Kathmandu, 1st Ashar.
Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led CPN (Maoist) has taken disciplinary action against Secretariat member Uma Bhujel (Silu). At the Secretariat meeting held on Monday, the party decided to relieve her of all responsibilities. The letter issued by Biplav states, “Secretariat member Comrade Silu, despite serious discussions with the General Secretary after the Central Committee meeting, has continued to engage in factionalism, deviationist, and escapist activities against the party’s ideas, policies, and decisions. She conducted provocative activities against the party’s working direction, leadership, and people’s revolution. Therefore, it has been decided to relieve her from all responsibilities including the Central Committee of the party.”
