Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal Calls on Chinese Investors to Boost Investment in Nepal

June 16, Kathmandu – Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has called on Chinese investors to increase their investments in Nepal, urging them to contribute to the prosperity of the trans-Himalayan region. Speaking at an investment conference organized by the Nepalese Embassy in Beijing during his four-day official visit to China, Minister Khanal emphasized the potential economic opportunities and demographic strengths of Nepal.

He highlighted the Nepalese government’s commitment to creating a more capable and business-friendly environment to attract investors. During the conference aimed at promoting Chinese investment in Nepal, Minister Khanal also engaged with Chinese businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and investors. Representatives from the Nepal Investment Board presented various investment opportunities available in Nepal.

On Tuesday in Beijing, Minister Khanal also held talks with Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. –RSS
