Three Killed in Russian Attacks in Eastern Ukraine

Local officials report that three people have died in Russian attacks on Sunday in the Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions of eastern Ukraine. Oleksandr Hanzhal, head of the regional military administration in Dnipropetrovsk, confirmed the death of a 70-year-old woman in an attack in Nikopol district. Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed it had shot down 239 Ukrainian drones overnight.

Officials noted that attacks between Moscow and Kyiv have intensified in recent weeks, although US-led negotiations aimed at ending the conflict, which began in February 2022, remain effectively stalled. Oleksandr Hanzhal reported via Telegram that three districts in Dnipropetrovsk experienced attacks resulting in one death and nine injuries.

Vitalii Dakyvnych, head of the regional military administration in Poltava, confirmed that two people died and 13 others were injured in Russian attacks on Saturday evening, including six children.
