Mexico has emerged as the winner of Group A in the league stage of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Mexico achieved a perfect record by winning all three games, accumulating 9 points.
This marks the first time Mexico has won all three matches in the group stage. Previously, they also topped their group in 2002. The Czech Republic, which suffered a heavy defeat to Mexico, finished at the bottom of the standings with one draw and two losses across three games. In another match, South Korea clinched a 1-0 victory, securing the runner-up spot in Group A and advancing to the knockout stage ahead of South Africa.
