RsWP National Convention Delegates Provided Meals Only Until Tonight; Must Arrange Their Own From Tomorrow
June 25, Chitwan – The National Independent Party (RsWP) has provided meals to delegates attending their first national convention in Chitwan only through this evening. From tomorrow onwards, delegates will need to manage their own food and snacks. Originally scheduled from June 21 to June 23, the convention was extended by two days. Initially, meals were arranged for June 22 and 23, and as the event lengthened, arrangements were also made for June 24 and 25.
“The agreement was to provide meals through tonight; from tomorrow, delegates will have to take care of their own meals. We have not received any new notification,” said Ramesh Adhikari, Managing Director of Diyalo Foodland, which has been in charge of catering for the convention. “We have already started packing our supplies. We don’t know what delegates will do from tomorrow onward.” The results for 99 open-category central members have been announced at the RsWP convention. Voting for six remaining official positions is still pending. The RsWP Central Election Commission is preparing to hold these officer elections tonight.
Most delegates are leaving the convention venue today to return home, while some have stated they will leave tonight. Voting for the central members began at midnight last night and ended at noon today. Out of 4,311 delegates, 2,959 participated in the vote, while 1,352 abstained. It is anticipated that the upcoming officer election voter turnout will be less than 50 percent.
