Technical Issue Forces Emergency Landing of Flight from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi in Bhairahawa

A flight operated by Shree Airlines from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi encountered a technical problem, resulting in an emergency landing at Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa. According to General Manager Shyam Kishor Sah, the pilot decided to land immediately in Bhairahawa after detecting smoke indications in the cockpit.

The airline reported that passengers stranded at the airport will be transported to their destination by another aircraft dispatched from Kathmandu. On 14th Ashar, flight SHA 227 made the emergency landing in Bhairahawa, and currently, the passengers remain at the airport, confirmed airport GM Shyam Kishor Sah.

He added that the company is arranging an alternate aircraft from Kathmandu to continue the journey to Dhangadhi. The pilot’s decision to land in Bhairahawa was prompted by the cockpit smoke warning. Further investigation will clarify the exact nature of the technical issue, he stated.
