National cricket player Arjun Kumal has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Elite Movers Education Consultancy for a period of two years. The consultancy’s chairman, Uddhav Ban, stated that the partnership aims to encourage young players by collaborating with Nepalese cricket. On the occasion, cricketer Sharad Bheshavkar, who has contributed over two decades to Nepalese cricket, was honored. July 29, Kathmandu.
Arjun Kumal has been appointed as the brand ambassador by Elite Movers Education Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. The two parties have signed a two-year agreement, with provisions to renew it by mutual consent in future years.
“Cricket is our cultural identity; we cannot be detached from it. We have struck an agreement with Arjun Kumal to connect with Nepalese cricket. He is a young player who needs a supportive environment to perform excellently. Our company has been working with youth in focus, so partnering with Arjun allows us to better target the younger generation,” said Uddhav Ban.
Previously, Elite Movers Education Consultancy had also signed an agreement with national cricketer Asif Sheikh. Opening batsman Arjun recently made his debut for the Nepal national team and secured his place during the World Cup Cricket League 2 match against UAE. In the following game against Oman, he scored 48 runs. Arjun has gained significant experience playing for Nepal U-19, Nepal ‘A’, and the national team.
During the ICC U-19 World Cup held in South Africa, Arjun scored 90 runs against New Zealand, 21 runs against Pakistan, and 91 runs against Afghanistan. In the ACC U-19 Premier Cup in Malaysia, he made 143 runs against Saudi Arabia. He also scored 91 runs against Pakistan in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup.
Arjun played the first season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) with Sudurpashchim Royals and has been playing for Pokhara Avengers in the latest season. In domestic cricket, especially in the Prime Minister’s Cup, he is known as a run machine, having been the highest run-scorer for two consecutive seasons, earning various awards.
Since last year, following an improvement in his form, in the 2025 edition he topped the charts by scoring a total of 374 runs including one century. He surpassed players like Kushal Bhurtel, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Rohit Paudel. In that edition, he became the first player to score over 500 runs in a single tournament, accumulating 504 runs in nine matches with two centuries, including unbeaten scores of 122 against Koshi Province and 132 against Lumbini.
“Professional contracts provide great encouragement and motivation for young players like me to perform well. They help maintain focus on the game. The cricket environment in Nepal is improving, and I believe such investments will strengthen Nepalese cricket,” said Arjun Kumal.
