Visa Fees Increased for Nepali Workers Going to Korea Under EPS Program

June 18, Kathmandu – The visa fee for Nepali workers traveling to South Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS) has been increased. The South Korean Embassy in Nepal has issued a notice regarding the rise in visa fees. The EPS Korea Branch Office under the Department of Foreign Employment provided detailed information, stating that the visa fee for the C-4-1 visa has been raised by NPR 600. Previously set at NPR 10,700, the fee is now NPR 11,300. The branch clarified that the new fee structure has been implemented based on a letter issued by the Korean Embassy dated 17 Asar 2083 (Nepali calendar).

According to information from the branch, workers traveling to South Korea through the EPS system and obtaining the C-4-1 visa must submit their application forms in person at the EPS Korea Branch. Under the new rules, workers are required to deposit NPR 11,300 to the Nepal Bank’s Gwarko branch account in the name of the Controller of Accounts, Lalitpur, and then present the original voucher along with the C-4-1 visa to the branch. The Department has informed that payments made twice under the same person’s name will not be refunded, urging all workers to exercise particular caution when submitting their visa fees.
