Khamenei’s Body Placed in Mosque; Leaders from Pakistan to China Attend Iran Memorial
June 19, Kathmandu – The body of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in an attack by the United States and Israel, along with family members, has been placed in a mosque in Tehran for the final tribute. Reports confirm that his body is laid in the mosque, where foreign dignitaries have arrived to pay their respects by attending prayer services.
Among the attendees are Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Afghanistan’s Taliban government Foreign Minister Amin Khan Muttaqi, and the Deputy Head of the Chinese Communist Party, all present in Tehran. Officials from India, China, and Tajikistan have also reportedly come to participate in the memorial ceremony.
On February 28, a joint attack by the U.S. and Israel targeted Supreme Leader Khamenei, resulting in his death. Several family members, including one of his daughters, son-in-law, and daughter-in-law (currently the wife of the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei), also lost their lives in the incident. The funeral is scheduled to take place next Wednesday.
