Indian Delegation Pays Tribute to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran

June 20, Kathmandu – In Tehran, the capital of Iran, an official Indian government delegation paid tribute to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The official delegation from India included Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasanain and Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margerita. Governor Hasanain shared photographs of the condolence ceremony on social media and issued a statement expressing his sentiments. The statement read, ‘Along with Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margerita, we represented India at the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei in Tehran on Friday, conveying deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the struggle.’ Minister Margerita also shared pictures on social media, stating, ‘The Bihar Governor and I represented India at the funeral ceremony of former Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, in Tehran. We paid tribute on behalf of the Government of India and the Indian people.’ The funeral ceremony for Ali Khamenei has already commenced in Iran, with foreign dignitaries arriving in Tehran for the event.
