Kathmandu Gorkhas Announce Extreme Energy Drinks as Title Sponsor for NPL Season Three
June 21, Kathmandu – Kathmandu Gorkhas have secured Extreme Energy Drinks as their title sponsor for the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament. Under an agreement between Extreme Energy Drinks, produced by Agro Thai Foods Pvt. Ltd., and Kathmandu Gorkhas, the sponsor’s logo will feature prominently on the team’s playing jerseys. This partnership marks the second consecutive year of collaboration between the two parties. While Extreme Energy Drinks was a diamond sponsor in the previous edition, it has now elevated its role to title sponsor this year.
Shravan Bahadur Singh, founder-director of Mavericks who manages Kathmandu Gorkhas, stated that the association with Extreme Energy Drinks has energized the team and boosted their confidence. He commented, “Extreme Energy Drinks has successfully made a significant impact in Nepalese sports. At this point, it is challenging to imagine any major sporting event without their participation. We are highly excited to continue this partnership for the second consecutive year with such an influential and sports-committed brand. At the signing ceremony, Sonia Rana, Marketing Manager of Agro Thai Foods Pvt. Ltd., expressed the company’s enthusiasm for becoming the title sponsor of Kathmandu Gorkhas, recognizing the NPL as the largest and most prestigious franchise competition in Nepalese cricket. She said, “We believe that our collaboration with the NPL will significantly elevate the brand image of Extreme Energy Drinks.” Over recent years, Extreme Energy Drinks has been actively investing in Nepalese sports, serving as the principal sponsor of the Nepalese Women’s National Cricket Team and participating in various national and international events including the Prime Minister Cup National Cricket, Jai Trophy Cricket, football, volleyball, and marathons. The company intends to continue its active involvement in sports, aimed at inspiring youth with energy, confidence, and excellence through athletic performance.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu Gorkhas have appointed former national cricketer Sharad Bheshavkar as Cricket Director for the upcoming NPL season. The team captaincy will be led by national team all-rounder Karan KC. Additionally, the team has retained players Bhim Sarki, Shahab Alam, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Adil Ansari, and Santosh Yadav.
