MP Shraddha Kunwar Kshetri Urges Government to Address Common Public Issues
June 8, Kathmandu – Shraddha Kunwar Kshetri, a Member of Parliament from the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, has called on the government to pay serious attention to the everyday problems faced by the public.
Speaking during the zero-hour session of the House of Representatives, she recalled that the current government has completed 100 days in office.
She stated, ‘It has been 100 days since the government was formed. The government has succeeded in conveying a message focused on good governance and effective public services. For this, I would like to thank the government.’
However, she highlighted that some problems of the people remain unresolved.
‘Many women from Rupandehi Constituency No. 1 have contacted me via phone. There is a rising inflation in the market. The increase in prices of household and kitchen essentials is making daily life difficult,’ MP Kshetri informed Parliament.
She also mentioned complaints from farmers about frequent electricity outages during June, which cause great inconvenience when they return home after a day’s work in the fields. ‘When the power goes out, even putting children to sleep becomes a challenge,’ she said.
‘Farmers are facing difficulties in their daily livelihoods,’ added MP Kshetri.
She drew the government’s attention to the fact that while citizens often have to pay to access services, they do not always receive adequate support, and unexpected inflation is severely impacting everyday life for all citizens.
‘I want to request the government – while building the framework for good governance and prosperity, it is also essential to take serious note of the simple, everyday issues that affect the lives of citizens,’ she emphasized.
