The US Central Command has completed a new phase of airstrikes targeting multiple military sites inside Iran. The operation focused on Iranian military infrastructure to prevent attacks on international vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the US military. Fighter jets and drones were deployed to bomb Iran’s air defense and radar systems during the operation.
The US military carried out this recent phase of attacks against several Iranian military locations. In a statement released by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the action was undertaken to degrade Iran’s capability to strike international ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
