June 14 (Jestha 30), Kavrepalanchok – A 27-year-old man has been arrested on charges of raping a 6-year-old girl in Shailung Rural Municipality of Dolakha district.
According to Santosh Kumar Khadka, spokesperson of Dolakha District Police Office, Shreekrishna Karki, a resident of Shailung Rural Municipality ward no. 5, was taken into custody on Monday following a rape complaint.
Immediately after the complaint, a special police team dispatched by the District Police Office Dolakha arrested Karki.
The district court granted a three-day extension of Karki’s custody on Tuesday to conduct further investigations.
According to Khadka, legal procedures are underway, and investigations continue regarding the incident.
