Sudurpashchim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has today dismissed all ministers belonging to the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) from his cabinet. The Chief Minister took this step to restructure the council of ministers following a change in the power dynamics. With this decision taken on the 13th of Asar, the UML has formally exited the Sudurpashchim provincial government. (13 Asar, Dhangadhi)
Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah announced the dismissal of the UML ministers. Prior to this, he had requested the UML to promptly decide whether to remain in the government or leave. Following this request, UML leaders engaged in internal discussions. Chief Minister Shah himself was involved in deliberations on possible options if UML chose to withdraw support. Upon receiving confirmation that UML would no longer support the government, Chief Minister Shah made the decision to remove the UML ministers from the cabinet.
