In preparation for the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, the Nepalese team has been set a target of 283 runs to chase in the second practice match against Jersey. After losing the toss, Jersey batted first and scored 282 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 50 overs, with Patrick Guise top-scoring with 95 runs. On the bowling front for Nepal, Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets each, while Lalit Rajbanshi claimed one wicket.
Other notable contributions for Jersey came from Harrison Carillon, who scored 56 runs, Jack Tribe with 50, Nick Greenwood with 32, and Jonty Jenner who added 27 runs. Nepal had won the first encounter against Jersey by 81 runs. Following this series, Nepal will travel to the Netherlands to participate in a tri-series as part of League 2, which includes Namibia, starting from July 21.
