Russian forces have significantly expanded their control near the settlement of Omelnik in the Zaporizhzhia region. Military expert Andrei Marochko confirmed this week that Russian troops have seriously advanced their control northwest of Omelnik village. The Russian army has successfully pushed Ukrainian forces out in the areas of Novoselivka and Verkhnyaya Tersa.
Marochko told TASS news agency, “This week we have made a serious expansion of control northwest of Omelnik village. Efforts to systematically expel enemy forces are currently underway.” Omelnik village is located about 13 kilometers from Orechov. The Orechov area is considered highly important and heavily fortified for Kyiv.
