One person has died and 15 others have been injured in a car accident at Tiergarten Park in Berlin. According to the police, “The car allegedly entered the Tiergarten Park and struck several people.” Following the incident, authorities deployed a helicopter in an effort to locate the driver who attempted to flee the scene.
The incident occurred on July 26, according to Kathmandu time, in the central part of Berlin. The news was reported by the N-TV channel citing police sources. Officials stated, “We are conducting a rapid search for the suspect.” Focus-Online reported that 14 people were victims of the accident.
The crash took place around 10 p.m. local time. The driver was operating a small white van at high speed within the Tiergarten. While attempting to escape, the driver also collided with others and was involved in the accident. The individual exited the vehicle and tried to flee on foot. Images shared on social media show the white minibus crashed into a tree, with clear signs of impact.
