Iran Claims No Hostility Toward Neighboring Countries, Actions Directed Solely Against the US

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has clarified that Iran harbors no hostility toward its neighboring countries in the Middle East. He emphasized that Iran’s actions are solely targeted against the United States and are not motivated by enmity toward regional nations. Following the resolution of conflicts, Tehran plans to engage in talks to rebuild trust with its neighbors. Kathmandu, July 26.

In an interview with a local newspaper, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi asserted that Iran does not consider neighboring Middle Eastern countries as adversaries. He stated that Iran’s initiatives are focused exclusively on opposing the US. Araghchi elaborated, “Iran’s regional actions are not driven by hostility toward the countries in this region. These steps are taken for other reasons, which are known to all parties involved.” After the conflict ends, Tehran intends to hold discussions with its neighbors. The minister also expressed a desire to “restore trust” with neighboring states.
