Ratna Singh, spokesperson of the Cockroach Janata Party, has filed a complaint about receiving continuous death threats and abusive messages. She stated that hateful messages on social media do not affect her and have instead made her mentally stronger.
Through her Twitter handle, Ratna Singh wrote, ‘My DMs are filled with death threats, abuses, hateful tweets, and comments. However, none of these affect me anymore. There can be no criticism or judgment greater than our work. Any sensible person would not say things to others that they do not want for themselves.’
The CJ Party had staged a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for over a month. This demonstration, against cheating and paper leaks in exams, involved protesters demanding the resignation of then Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. On July 25, Dharmendra Pradhan resigned.
After the protest, many videos circulated on social media, showing police allegedly mistreating and taking students participating in the protest into custody.
