Reporter Rhinos won the NSJF Cup Futsal title organized by the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum by defeating Bailine Bandits 6–3 in the final. Nayak Paudel was named the best player of the tournament, while Abhinav Joshi emerged as the top scorer with 10 goals. President Niranjan Adhikari stated that the competition was held to prepare for the Pulsar Sports Awards and to foster camaraderie among sports journalists. Kathmandu, 15th Shrawan.
In the final held on Thursday at Tiptoi Sports Academy in Sheshmati, Kathmandu, Reporter Rhinos defeated Bailine Bandits 6–3. Nayak Paudel scored a hat-trick to secure the victory. Abhinav Joshi and Nirmal Khadka each contributed a goal. For the runners-up Bailine, Amanpratap Adhikari scored twice, while Anup Maharjan added one goal. The tournament featured four teams, with Headline Hurricanes and Future Phantoms eliminated in the group stage. Both Reporter and Bailine advanced directly to the final with 6 points each.
Nayak Paudel of the champion team Reporter was selected as the tournament’s best player. Abhinav Joshi from Reporter was declared the top scorer with a total of 10 goals. Additionally, rising player Shishir Basnet of Headline, best goalkeeper Jenish Bade of runners-up Bailine, and best female player Muna Karki received accolades. Awards were presented to the winners, runners-up, and outstanding players by NSJF President Niranjan Adhikari, General Secretary Anjan Khadka, former presidents Ajay Phuyal and Mahesh Acharya, Tiptoi Sports Academy Director Gaurav Basnet, and CEO Subash Nyaupane. Meanwhile, a friendly match was held between NSJF and Tiptoi Sports Academy, ending 3–3 in regular time, with Tiptoi winning in sudden death. President Niranjan Adhikari said this one-day tournament was organized to prepare for the upcoming Pulsar Sports Awards on Bhadra 18 and to strengthen relationships among sports journalists.
