The International Cricket Council (ICC) has imposed an eight-year ban on American cricketer Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy on charges of corruption. Reddy was found guilty of match-fixing and obstructing investigations during the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2025. The ICC’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) tribunal found Reddy guilty of violating three counts of the ACU code of conduct, leading to a comprehensive ban on all cricket-related activities. The sanction officially starts from November 21, 2025, the same day he was provisionally suspended.
The allegations against Reddy pertain to the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2025 held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Emirates Cricket Board had appointed the ICC as the official anti-corruption body (DACO) for this tournament. The tribunal concluded that Reddy attempted to manipulate match outcomes and influence other parties unfairly, incited another participant to participate in match-fixing, and obstructed the investigation by deleting relevant data and messages from his mobile device.
