Twenty-nine students from Islington College are currently working professionally with companies based in the USA, Australia, and the UK—all while residing in Nepal. Under its ‘Rocking the World from Nepal’ initiative, the college has begun providing students with international work experience during their academic journey. According to the college chairman, Sulabh Budhathoki, students are offered opportunities to start their careers without having to wait until they complete their degrees or go abroad.
These 29 students are engaged in direct partnerships with international companies as part of the college’s effort to integrate professional opportunities with academic studies. Islington College regards this as a practical success of its ‘Rocking the World from Nepal’ campaign, emphasizing that the slogan is more than just promotional—it is an educational philosophy aimed at preparing students to compete globally while studying in Nepal.
The college has incorporated industry collaboration as an essential component of its curriculum, providing students with international-level training and access to worldwide professional teams throughout their studies. The institution maintains a consistent practice of involving students in real projects even before they complete their degrees, facilitating international experience. The 29 students currently working with companies from the US, Australia, and the UK exemplify this achievement.
Chairman Sulabh Budhathoki stated that students no longer face a dilemma between completing their degrees and starting their careers. Instead, they are advancing both simultaneously. Pexas Tech, supporting this initiative, offers structured assistance, standby resources, and SLA-based services in areas such as software development, design, marketing, and operations, connecting talented individuals worldwide with expert professional teams. The college has introduced these students as its premier group of ‘AI-Native Talent.’
The college reports that students are developing skills to work in AI-enabled global workspaces, complementing their academic knowledge. Through collaboration with the partner organization Global Teams AI, students actively contribute to projects based in the USA, Australia, and the UK. According to the college, the right training, appropriate opportunities, and industry collaboration collectively send a strong message—that students need not wait to finish their degrees or move abroad to gain valuable international experience.
