Kathmandu, August 21 – In September, the Nepal cricket team will face New Zealand ‘A’ team in a one-day practice match. The New Zealand Cricket Board announced this alongside the upcoming Top End T20 series squad release via social media on Thursday. As per the schedule, New Zealand ‘A’ team will play South Australia on September 2, Tasmania on September 4, and Nepal on September 6, with all matches held at Marara Cricket Ground-2 in Darwin, Australia.
Prior to these matches, New Zealand ‘A’ team will compete in the NT Top End T20 series from August 20 to 30, which features nine teams since its inception in 2022. Nepal’s fixtures in this series have already been announced. The New Zealand ‘A’ roster includes internationally capped players such as Christian Clarke, Matt Fisher, Dean Foxcroft, Mitch Hay, Jaden Lennox, and Ben Lister, some of whom represented New Zealand last month in an ODI series against the West Indies. This practice match will play a crucial role in Nepal’s preparation for upcoming international tournaments.
