
Former England international cricketer Ravi Bopara has confirmed that he will play for the Chitwan Rhinos in the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The Chitwan Rhinos announced on social media that they have retained the 41-year-old all-rounder for a third consecutive season.
Bopara has extensive experience in various franchise leagues and has played 494 T20 matches, scoring 9,948 runs and taking 292 wickets. On August 8, in Kathmandu, the Chitwan Rhinos officially revealed that Bopara would continue to represent their team for the third straight season.
The 41-year-old seasoned batsman and all-rounder has represented England in 13 Tests, 120 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 38 T20 Internationals. Equally adept at opening or batting in the middle order, the right-handed batsman has amassed a total of 9,948 runs and claimed 292 wickets across 494 T20 matches in his career.
In the first NPL season, Bopara was the league’s second-highest run-scorer, showcasing outstanding performance. In the second season, he scored 237 runs in seven matches, ranking sixth on the highest run-scorers list. Besides representing England, Bopara has shined in numerous franchise T20 leagues worldwide, including the IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, and LPL. Notably, he has accumulated over 5,000 runs in the Vitality T20 Blast and The Hundred leagues.
