Hora Esports from Nepal has directly qualified for the grand finals of the PUBG Mobile World Cup currently underway in Paris, France. Competing in Group B, Hora Esports secured the fourth position with 98 points, placing them within the top five on the leaderboard. Teams ranked from sixth to thirteenth will compete in the Survival Stage for a chance to enter the finals. Kathmandu, 24th Shrawan.
Out of the 16 teams in Group B that played on Sunday, Hora Esports ranked among the top five, thereby earning their spot in the final. With a total of 98 points, including one chicken dinner, Hora secured fourth place to advance. Vitality Mission topped Group B with 148 points, while IDA, STG, and GodLike also qualified for the final alongside Hora.
Hora Esports entered the first day in third place with 59 points and strengthened their performance on the second day by adding 39 points across six matches. Although they finished sixth in the final game, they managed to retain a top-five position overall. Notably, they delivered an excellent performance in the first two matches of day one, winning a chicken dinner in the second match. They accumulated 37 placement points and 61 kills, totaling 98 points, marking an outstanding showing.
Having secured fourth place in the group, Hora has guaranteed a prize of USD 57,500. The grand final will feature a multi-million dollar prize pool, with the champion set to receive USD 500,000. From Group A, the top five teams qualifying directly include Pakistan’s Four Thieves, India’s Orangutan, Mongolia’s Aurora, Vietnam/Singapore’s Team Flash, and Middle East’s Nigma Galaxy.
Teams ranked sixth through thirteenth in both groups—a total of 16 teams—will compete in the Survival Stage, from which the top six teams will advance to the final. The bottom three teams in the group stage will be eliminated. The grand final will take place from August 14 to 16, featuring 16 teams—10 of which have already qualified. The remaining six finalists will be decided through Survival Stage matches on August 11 and 12. Every team in the PUBG Mobile Grand Final will receive a cash prize. The champion will receive USD 500,000; the runner-up, USD 250,000; and the third place team, USD 150,000. The fourth place prize is USD 120,000; fifth place earns USD 100,000; sixth place USD 90,000; seventh place USD 80,000; and eighth place USD 70,000. Teams finishing ninth through sixteenth will receive prizes ranging between USD 60,000 and USD 25,000, respectively.
