Outgoing Captain Rohit Paudel Receives Formal Thanks and Appreciation from Nepali Cricket Officials
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has formally expressed gratitude to outgoing national team captain Rohit Paudel for his leadership and significant contributions to the team. Newly appointed captain Sandeep Lamichhane highlighted Rohit’s dedication and emphasized that his presence will remain important in the team, expressing expectations for his continued contributions in the future. CAN described Rohit’s commitment to team, country, and cricket as consistently inspiring, expressing confidence that he will continue to contribute to Nepal with the same spirit and dedication in the days ahead. Dipendra Singh Airee also reflected emotionally on Rohit’s captaincy journey. He wrote, “Some journeys are measured in years, but others leave a legacy forever.” Dipendra noted that from November 1, 2022, to August 10, 2026, Rohit devoted his heart, passion, and full capacity to Nepali cricket. As captain, Rohit not only led the team but played a vital role in inspiring the nation and uniting players together.

CAN secretary and former captain Paras Khadka also praised Rohit’s leadership and expressed gratitude toward him. “Thank you, Rohit, for leading the Nepali cricket team with pride, passion, and determination. Even during challenging times, you elevated Nepal to unprecedented heights and inspired a generation both on and off the field,” Paras wrote on social media.
