Tata Motors Unveils New Punch EV and Tiago EV at NAIMA Mobility Expo in Kathmandu

Official distributor Sipradi Trading has launched Tata Motors’ new Punch EV and Tiago EV at the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo in Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu. The new Punch EV is priced at NPR 3,399,000, while the Tiago EV is set at NPR 2,899,000. Sipradi’s CEO Rajan Babu Shrestha expressed the company’s commitment to bringing the latest electric vehicle technology to the Nepalese market. (26 Shrawan, Kathmandu)
The starting price for the new Punch EV is NPR 3,399,000; however, customers booking during the expo will benefit from a special offer price of NPR 3,299,000. Similarly, the new Tiago EV starts at NPR 2,899,000. Customers who book either model at the expo will receive an extended warranty covering 11 years or 220,000 kilometers, the company announced.
Rajan Babu Shrestha reiterated Sipradi Trading’s dedication to introducing state-of-the-art electric vehicles in Nepal. He stated that the launch of the Punch EV and Tiago EV continues this commitment, highlighting that both models are developed to meet different customer needs.
Sipradi Trading is also focusing on expanding the necessary infrastructure to support electric vehicle sales. Rajesh Prasad Giri, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasized efforts to enhance customer confidence and convenience by increasing service and charging infrastructure. Currently, the company operates over 21 EV service centers, 40 DC fast-charging points, and more than 150 AC charging points across Nepal.
The new Punch EV offers two battery options: 32 kWh and 40 kWh. Based on road tests in Nepal, these batteries provide a driving range between 300 and 325 kilometers on a full charge. The Punch EV features 195 mm ground clearance, a 5-star safety rating from BNCAP, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, 1.5 CDC fast charging, voice-activated sunroof, 26.03 cm Harman infotainment system, digital cockpit, ventilated seats, and a boot space of 366 liters.
The new Tiago EV has been introduced with enhanced features aimed at facilitating daily commuting, including a new design and attractive color options. It includes a 360-degree HD camera, a 26.03 cm infotainment system, and six airbags among its safety and technology features. With the launch of the Punch EV and Tiago EV, Sipradi has further expanded Tata Motors’ electric vehicle lineup in the Nepalese market.
