The Nepal A cricket team has been officially sent off to participate in the upcoming Top End T20 Series, scheduled to take place in Australia’s Northern Territory. Led by captain Anil Sah, the 15-member Nepali side is ready to compete from August 21 to 30. Nepal will play six league matches against NT Strike, Bangladesh High-Performance, Hobart Hurricanes Academy, ACT Comets, Kingsmen, and Victoria teams.
A special farewell ceremony was held before the team’s departure to the Northern Territory for the tournament. At the event organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Sunday, CAN Vice President Roshan Singh and other officials wished the squad success and encouraged them to deliver outstanding performances.
The 15-member squad, captained by Anil Sah, has already been finalized for the competition. Notably, opening batsman Kushal Bhurtel, who has yet to feature in Nepal’s ODI side, has been included. The tournament will commence in Darwin on August 21 and run through August 30, with Nepal competing in six league stage matches. Their opening game will be against NT Strike on August 21.
Nepal will face Bangladesh High-Performance on August 22 in their second match. Subsequent fixtures include encounters with Hobart Hurricanes Academy on August 24, ACT Comets on August 26, Kingsmen on August 27, and Victoria on August 29. Nepal has also participated in this competition previously.
