Savitra Devi Sapkota, 62, died after a truck struck her scooter in Bardagoriya, Kailali. According to police, she passed away while undergoing treatment at Dododhar Hospital. Kathmandu, 1 Bhadra.
The incident happened around 8 a.m. on Monday on the East-West Highway in Bardagoriya Gaunpalika-1, Kattipur. A truck bearing license plate number Su.P.Pra.01-001 Kha 3695, heading west to east, collided with the scooter, license number Lu.Pra.01010 Pa 0045, which was traveling in the same direction. The scooter rider, Savitra Devi Sapkota, sustained injuries from the collision.
She was treated at Dododahara Hospital Pvt Ltd in Mudagaun, where she later died, according to police. The truck driver, 26-year-old Dinesh Giri from Danda, Kawasoti Municipality-16, Nawalparasi (West), has been taken into police custody for further investigation.
