
The third edition of ‘His Run 2083’, organized in Nagdaha area of Lalitpur on the occasion of Nag Panchami, was successfully completed with the participation of 291 runners. According to registration details, the highest participation was from the 20 to 24 age group with 76 participants, while there were a total of 233 male and 58 female participants. The Himalayan Running Club has been promoting His Run as a campaign that connects culture, heritage, tourism, health, and community harmony.
By making Nagdaha, culturally significant on Nag Panchami, the center of the race, the organizers prioritized the promotion of local heritage and tourism. Participants from various age groups were involved in the event. Based on available registration data, the 20 to 24 age group had the highest participation (76 runners), accounting for 28 percent of the total. Additionally, ten runners aged 60 years or older also took part in the race.
Among registered runners, there were 218 males and 53 females. On the day of the event, an additional 20 runners—15 men and 5 women—participated, bringing the total to 233 male and 58 female participants. The organizers welcomed the increasing participation of women, youth, and new runners as a positive development.
Shahadev Byanjankar, president of the Himalayan Running Club, stated that His Run is being promoted as a campaign that links culture, heritage, tourism, and community through running. The event, coordinated by event organizer Madan Maharjan, also featured the presence of record-holding marathon runner and Olympian Baikuntha Manandhar. Future editions aim to make the event more organized and expansive, with goals to attract runners from various parts of the country as well as international participants.
